God’s plan for my life is bigger than what I see. If I dont release what’s to go, I’ll never see the promise.

Just a reflection!

Faith + Perseverance

At times the journey of faith can be very hard. Sometimes it’s hard for us to remember that each closed door has a reason.

Jesus closes doors in order to protect us from the things He knows we do not need. His hand is on you, always. Every test, every trial, every hurt, every disappointment- persevere because your breakthrough is closer than you think.

Keep the faith.

A little Testimony

I was clearing out my hard drive and stumbled upon these two pictures. This was in 2016. I was buying my vision board to pin all of MY PLANS on it. Not once did I ask God … What plans do you have for me? How do you want to use me? Everything I went home and placed on this vision board was flesh-led instead of being spirit- led.

Back then I didn’t even think it was important to consult God before my plans. It was more of “well this is what I want so God will make it work out”. I had it all wrong.

The second I got baptized – the Holy Spirit led me to basically clear the board. EVERYTHING. I removed the year stamps on the goals eg. open my own private practice in 10 years… and placed it back on the board. This time around I trusted God with His plans and His timing – I watched my life change drastically.

I placed more bible verses to memorize, more declarations over my life and the goals became less flesh driven and more purpose – heaven driven.

My little testimony? I changed everything on that vision board February 27,2017. June 29, 2017 – I left a horrible work situation (a job god told me not to take in the first place) and was unemployed. In three short months, that “ten year practice” goal turned into an October 2017 reality.

It was only by the work of God – He opened those doors, aligned the right people, location, provided overwhelming family and friend support & the suppliers. God is truly amazing. I was mind blown at the end of the journey. I can’t wait to see what He does next. He is faithful. Trust His timing.

Will you trust His timing today?

Walk on Purpose

Are you obediently walking in your purpose?

Are you staying in your lane?

Are you chasing instead of resting?

Are you allowing God to open the doors instead of busting them down?

Are you allowing Him to order your steps so that your light can shine? Psalm 119:113

Job 42:2 says” I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You”

Prescription for Anxiety

Philippians 4:6-9 (NLT) says:

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

So for this anxiety problem I will prescribe the PTP drug. You must be wondering what that is! PTP stands for Pray, Think, Practice.

With this in mind I know that I must pray about everything with thanksgiving. It clearly states I must tell God what I need. The NKJV version says “…. let your request be made known to God” . So you mean I just have to tell God what I need? I thought He would have already known that. But let’s skip back on over to Matthew 7: 7-8 (NIV) :

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

You see, when we pray we must ask and it will be given. We must believe that wholeheartedly and give God thanks in advance understanding He will answer based on what He sees we need and when we need it.

So now that we understand the first P, let’s THINK.

In v8 it highlights that we should think on things that are true, honourable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and worthy of praise. How do we do this? We guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23) While guarding your heart you will become mindful of the things you allow your eyes, ears and mind to receive – certain tv shows, music, internet, books, magazines. Some of these things represent solely the things of the world and nothing of God and His word. When we get anxious about something… what are the thoughts that consume your mind? You see it’s easy to slip into the ” I can’t” and the “this won’t ” forgetting whose you are, quickly putting limits on God. When you know what He is capable of doing in your life you know all these things that v8 said we should think on – should be thought about because these things reflect God. He will never leave us in a situation, stranded with no way out.

The final P, practice – we have to put into action these things. We change our thought process and we ask God to change our hearts to help us to fill this prescription. We actively guard our hearts, seek God and become more intentional about our praying. Be intentional about spending time with Him – listening to hear His voice.

Don’t ever let the enemy plant the seeds of anxiety of fear in your mind. Remember being anxious about nothing means you have truly accepted the truth that “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Speak fear and anxiety out. Pray about it! Think and Thank God! Practice His teachings and His word.

He is so faithful and loves you so much!!!!

Delayed Disobedience

So the other day, during my quiet time, I found myself writing in my journal:

“I will not see the promise of God if I am not obedient to the call”

Do you understand this statement?

You see God spoke to me that night. He asked me to do a few things and I must be honest, I’ve been a little tired, distracted and complacent.

In that moment I really told myself – “There is literally no time to be tired, distracted and complacent with what God has instructed me to do”

I mean, how could I be? I have people waiting on the other side of my obedience. I have God’s plans be for me waiting on the other side of my obedience. What kind of fruit do I expect to reap if I would have continued like that?

During the time, I truly thought about the seeds I missed out on planting during my time of delayed disobedience. Planting those seeds and watering them means that soon I would see growth. I would have my healthy imaginary tree that eventually bear beautiful fruit.

How can we expect to see the fruit of God’s work in our lives if we can’t even be obedient with the seeds He has given us?

Delayed disobedience is still disobedience. Let that sink in.

Have you been faithful with the last thing God told you to do?

You are Blessed

Have we really taken the time to consider our blessings?

I like to think of blessings as little gifts from God. Little reminders that He is watching, hearing and answering each and every prayer.

Sometimes the blessings my not be in the way we want them to be.

Blessings have more to do with God than with us. Think of them as reflecting His amazing grace and His long-suffering character. They flow from His lovingkindness and goodness.

“For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:45).

In the midst of great blessing, our hearts can still be far from God. And apart from Him, blessings are merely temporal and empty.

We must consistently pray and ask God to help us to use the blessings He has given us towards His will. Most importantly, always give Him thanks for the blessings.

Bless you!

lots of love,
